The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly ended contract talks with free-agent Lamar Odom, upset with the forward’s decision to continue pushing for an extended contract.
LA and Odom had apparently come to an agreement on a three-year, $27 million deal but the 29-year-old is said to be asking for a longer term deal, something Lakers owner Jerry Buss is trying to avoid. According to reports Buss became angry with Odom’s decision to balk at the three-year-deal and ended the talks.
Odom is said to have been offered deals by the Miami Heat as well as the Dallas Mavericks but he has said he has no desire to leave the Lakers.
