Gryphex Awarded Grand Winner for Innovation at 20th Annual MAX Awards

Gryphex LLC has been awarded Grand Winner of the 20th Annual Marketing Awards for Excellence (MAX Awards) in innovation, marketing and market success among Georgia-based companies.

Gryphex LLC has been awarded Grand Winner of the 20th Annual Marketing Awards for Excellence (MAX Awards) in innovation, marketing and market success among Georgia-based companies. The MAX Awards, which is judged by The Marketing Roundtable from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business, recognized Gryphex for its Continuum Electronic Offender Monitoring technology at a breakfast ceremony held Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Georgia Aquarium.

The Marketing Roundtable is comprised of marketing executives from over 25 major Atlanta companies, including the Atlanta Braves, AT&T, Atlanta Falcons, Chick-fil-A, Coca-Cola, Cox Communications, Delta, Equifax, Georgia Pacific, Google, SunTrust, Turner Broadcasting, and UPS.

Gryphex received the highest honor among 35 MAX Award entries from companies such as UPS, The Home Depot, Merial, Plaid Enterprises, and others. “We are honored that our product was recognized as a standout innovation among such prestigious competition,” said Gregory A. Buchholz, President & CEO of Gryphex. “This is further validation that our solution is a fiscally-sound investment in public policy, enabling the efforts of legislators and government executives like Governor Deal to reform the current system.”

Gryphex, headquartered in Alpharetta, GA, provides customized electronic offender monitoring solutions intended to provide a right-fit system for tracking lower risk offenders, and alleviating prison overcrowding. The launch of this technology aligns with Georgia Governor Nathan Deal’s proposal for alternatives to current incarceration policy, which has the State reeling from the high cost of incarceration. Deal’s approach is to reduce prison costs to taxpayers, improve rehabilitation for nonviolent offenders and maintain safety in Georgia’s communities.

Since its launch in mid-2011, Gryphex device counts and revenues have seen double-digit monthly increases. In addition to Georgia, the company currently serves judicial service providers in Alabama, California, Colorado, Kansas, North Carolina, New Mexico, New York, Texas and Utah.
