Deion Sanders divorce takes an ugly turn, estranged wife sues for $200 million

Deion and Pilar Sanders filed for divorce last December and things are getting uglier for the estranged couple. Pilar filed two separate lawsuits against the Hall of Famer alleging slander and evidence tampering. She is seeking $200 million in libel and damages.

In one of the lawsuits, Pilar accused Deion and his daughter of slander based on some posts on Twitter where Sanders daughter referred to Pilar as a “gold digger.” Deion also told followers not to believe his estranged wife’s “lies and foolishness.” According to the Dallas Morning News, Pilar is claiming “emotional and physical abuse, mental distress, public humiliation and financial loss.”

Deion confirmed on Twitter that there was physical confrontation between Pilar and one if his female companions in February.

Pilar also accused Deion of tampering with evidence that could be used by her divorce attorney when they go to court. Pilar alleges that Deion bribed a young woman he had an affair with last summer to keep quiet about the affair.

The lawsuit also stated that Deion along with his aunt conspired to remove an audio recording device which contained some damning evidence against Deion. With the right evidence Pilar’s divorce lawyer would be able to get a favorable divorce settlement. 

Pilar has asked her divorce attorney to call a number a couple if Deion’s former mistresses for their trial, including a former girlfriend of actor Eddie Murphy. Deion has been accused of cheating on Pilar with a number of different women during their 12 year marriage.
