Nick Lachey shared some special news Monday on Live! With Kelly. The former 98 Degrees singer announced his wife Vanessa Minnillo is pregnant with their first child.
"I've had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to. The fact that it's actually here, it's overwhelming,” Lachey said of fatherhood.
As for finding out the gender of the baby, Lachey told host Kelly Ripa they “definitely want to know.” "I can't take the knowledge that someone out there knows, but I don't know. It's like watching a sports game on TiVo,” he said.
The baby is due in late summer or early fall. Lachey, 37, began dating Minnillo, 31, in 2006 shortly after his split from first wife Jessica Simpson, who is set to welcome her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson this spring. Lachey and Minnillo tied the knot last July.
