A Thousand Words, starring Eddie Murphy, Kerry Washington, Emanuel Ragsdale, Jill Basey and Greg Collins, opens in theaters Friday, March 9. The comedy centers on a fast-talking and often insincere literary agent named Jack whose habit of stretching the truth gets him into trouble with a spiritual guru. Jack’s consequences come in the form of a magical Bodhi tree that sheds a leaf for every word he speaks. Once all the leaves are shed, both Jack and the tree will die.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 31 minutes and is rated PG 13 for sexual situations including dialogue, language, and dome drug-related humor.
