Fayetteville, NC- A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning when he collided with a passenger truck on Raeford Road.
Police said that a man riding a Harley-Davidson was traveling west on Raeford Road near the Hoke County line when a pick-up truck traveling east turned on front of him. The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was thrown from his bike. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The pick-up truck driver was not injured. Police are still working to clean up the scene and have asked motorists to take a detour around the area.
Motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable to serious injury or death if they are involved in an accident. They don’t have the protection that a person driving a car or truck has. Because motorcyclists are so vulnerable to injury they will accumulate costly medical bills and other accident-related costs. When the victims or the families of the deceased wish to seek compensation they are advised to retain a Fayetteville accident attorney.
With a Fayetteville accident lawyer working on your case you know that a member of the community is protecting your best interests and can devout their time and energy to your lawsuit. A Fayetteville accident attorney will make certain that you will receive the maximum amount of compensation you are entitled to and all costs incurred will not come out of the victim’s own wallet.
