In a matter of days, repair work should be ready to get under way on the retaining wall that began falling more than a year and a half ago at the Lowe's store on Highway 69. By two 6-1 votes and one 7-0 vote Tuesday, the Prescott City Council approved the three separate matters dealing with Lowe's plans to replace the failing wall with a "soil buttress" landscaped berm. That sets the stage for the start of construction, which city and Lowe's officials say should occur soon.
