In the new issue of ELLE magazine, Jessica Simpson reveals her baby-to-be is a girl. The singer and Fashion Star mentor says she and fiancé Eric Johnson have already decided on a name. Although the name is “nontraditional,” Simpson promises it is “nothing shocking.”
“It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it, they’ll know … why,” the 31-year-old says.
Simpson is looking forward to when her daughter develops her own fashion tastes, but hopes athletic wear won’t be part of her wardrobe. “I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!” she jokes. “Eric is so athletic — we’re gonna have this athletic girl and I won’t even be able to take her shopping, ’cause all she’s gonna want is sports bras and Nikes!”
The baby is due this spring.
