Paula Deen denies sexual harassment allegations

Attorneys for celebrity chef Paula Deen have denied allegations of sexual harassment filed by a former employee of her Savannah restaurant, Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House on Monday, according to Fox News.

Lisa Jackson accused Paula’s brother Bubba Heirs of numerous instances of sexual harassment including watching porno on the restaurant computers, making unwanted comments and creating a hostile work environment. In one instance Jackson claims that Heirs grabbed her face, told her he loved her, screamed and spat at her.  Jackson hired a sexual harassment attorney to seek compensation for lost wages and emotional distress.

Deen and Heirs, who co-owns the restaurant, have dodged a previous sexual harassment lawsuit when they fired the general manager. At the time of the previous accusations, Heirs allegedly told Jackson, “If you think I’ve worked this hard to lose everything over a piece of p**sy, you better think again.”

The law firm representing Paula Deen Enterprises said Jackson filed the lawsuit in a local court after Deen refused to pay to keep her quiet. Deen’s attorneys are confident that a court will determine the allegations are false.

Sexual harassment is a problem in the workplace and when a sexual harassment attorney can prove the allegations are true, the victim will be entitled to a settlement. For some people subjected to repeated hostility, they have to turn to sexual harassment lawyers to put a halt to the behavior.
