It’s over for Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz. An insider tells Us Weekly magazine the couple decided to call it quits this week after 1 year of dating.
“The decision was mutual. They are staying friends,” an insider tells Us.
The source says Longoria, who divorced second husband Tony Parker in late 2010, is currently focused on work. The eighth and final season of her hit CBS show Desperate Housewives ends this spring.
Neither Longoria nor Cruz has commented. The pair met through Cruz’s sister, actress Penelope Cruz, and went public with their relationship in February 2011.
Longoria and Cruz is not the only celebrity couple to call it quits this week. Actor David Arquette announced late Tuesday he has split from girlfriend Christina McLarty. “Sadly I’m single again. A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult,” Arquette, who is currently separated from wife Courtney Cox, tweeted.
The Scream star began dating McLarty, who works with Entertainment Tonight as a reporter, in September 2011. McLarty has not commented.
