Virginia man gets prison for 25th DUI arrest

As repeat offenders go, one Virginia man has to be the worst, and has now been sentenced to 7 years in jail and will be banned from driving for 20 years.

Tracy Michael Decker, 39, was sentenced by a Virginia judge to seven years jail, after he racked up 25 DUI arrests in Virginia, Alabama and Georgia. With this many DUIs it would be impossible for a drunk driving lawyer to prevent a prison term.

Decker was released from jail in 2010 after he served a four year sentence for a previous intoxicated driving arrest. When Decker was charged in 2006 his blood alcohol content was .28, he had an open container in his vehicle and was driving with two four-year old children, who were not in safety seats.

After his 2010 release, Decker managed to get 4 DUIs over a period of eight months in Alabama, those charges violated his release in Virginia.

Decker will not only have to 7 years in jail, but he must also complete a substance abuse program and will not be allowed to drive for the next 20 years.

Drunk driving lawyers can help reduce charges and penalties for first and even second offenders, but after that many arrests there is little hope for leniency.

DUI is a serious charge and anyone who has been arrested should immediately contact a drunk driving lawyer to begin working on their case.
