Pradaxa Bleeding Claims Under Investigation

Pradaxa bleeding claims are currently under investigation by ClassAction.org following a recent FDA announcement. On Dec. 7, 2011, the agency released a statement saying that it is evaluating post-marketing reports of serious bleeding events in patients taking Pradaxa. In light of allegations that the manufacturer failed to warn patients of the alleged Pradaxa bleeding risk, ClassAction.org would like to hear from Pradaxa users, or loved ones acting on their behalf, who suffered a serious bleeding episode while taking the medication. Potentially, these individuals may have legal recourse to seek compensation from the manufacturer. To find out if you can file a claim for medical bills and other losses, visit http://www.classaction.org/pradaxa.html for a free, no obligation review of your Pradaxa bleeding claim.

According to the FDA, the label for Pradaxa contains a warning about significant and potentially fatal bleeds, as this is a well-known complication of anticoagulants. However, the agency is looking to determine whether reports of Pradaxa bleeds in users of the drug are occurring more commonly than would be expected. In its announcement regarding Pradaxa bleeding reports, it informed patients to contact their healthcare professionals if they develop any of the following signs or symptoms of bleeding: vomiting or coughing up blood; black, tarry or red stools; brown or pink urine; atypical bleeding from the gums; producing vomit which looks like coffee grounds; severe or uncontrollable bleeding; nosebleeds which occur often; unexplained bruising; and menstrual or vaginal bleeding which is heavier than normal.

While the FDA further investigates the potential Pradaxa bleeding risk, patients who took the medication and suffered these types of injuries are invited to visit ClassAction.org. The site offers additional information on Pradaxa lawsuits and side effects, and provides a free online case review.
