Facebook announced a new feature Thursday that can turn a person’s page into a “personalized newspaper” and give legal internet marketing on the social media site a boost.
“Interest Lists” rolls out in the next few weeks, and will allow users to make lists of things they are interested in and subscribe to relevant content. Users will be able to create their own lists organized by specific topics and follow public content, which their friends and other users will be able to subscribe to.
Facebook will be able to rank and sort articles based on the frequency that the topic is discussed on their network. This feature will help legal internet marketing firms find their target audiences and allow their content to be distrusted more thoroughly over the Facebook network.
“Interest Lists” are created in a manner similar to a photo album. A wizard will take the user through the necessary steps where they will chose “Liked” items, friends and subscriptions along with the people and pages Facebook recommends. The lists can be made public or restricted to particular friends.
Some people in the tech industry, who have already had access to the feature, say it is similar to a Twitter Feed.
The sharing of information and content is valuable to companies that provide legal internetmarketing as it can give them more information about their audience and the possibility of reaching new people, which can be converted into clients.
