Ordinarily, the term “Anxiety” refers to a feeling of worry about something that is going to happen. It could also refer to a strong with to get something done or a feeling of something that worries somebody.
In a brother sense especially in Psychiatry, Anxiety refers to extreme apprehension over something. It is a pitiable condition marked by intense apprehension or fear of the real or the unknown.
In psychological sense, Anxiety refers to the emotional state in which people feel uneasy, apprehensive or fearful. People like that are always very restless and they do expect the worst to happen often. You don’t need to go very far to discover such people. They are already very close by.
Symptoms

Biologically, Anxiety could always showcase in the life of an individual as a result of his or her family background whose members are always having such habit. In this case, Anxiety is said to be hereditary.
Psychologically, Anxiety could be as a result of the wrong thinking or wrong mentality in the life of an individual. There are people who always think that evil will always follow a certain course of event. Hence, before such events occur they are already down in deep anxiety.
Social factors such as divorce, financial constraints, and quarrels can also be viable sources of anxiety in the lives of many people all over the world.
Treatment
Despite the reality of Anxiety and its various sources, there is a cure for it. Basically there are two treatment methods for anxiety namely: medication and Psychotherapy.
Under medication, the medical professional having diagnosed the patient uses psychoactive drug such as benzodiazepines and other antidepressant drug like tricyclics serotonin in handling the issue of anxiety in the lives of the individuals suffering from it.
Finally, Psychotherapy is also used in arresting the situation; this is indeed the best method as it is free from drugs and their side effects. Psychotherapy involves the use of psychoanalysis and cognitive behavioral therapy in arresting the issue of anxiety. This is usually handled by a professional psychologist or psychotherapist who is well trained to handle such cases. The medical professional realizes this goal of dealing with anxiety through one on one counseling session with the affected individual.
