Bobbi Kristina Brown: My Mom Still Speaks To Me

In a pre-taped interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday’s Oprah's Next Chapter, Bobbi Kristina Brown says she is doing as well as can be expected following the tragic death of her mom Whitney Houston.

"I'm doing as good as I possibly can at this point. I'm just trying to keep going,” Bobbi Kristina tells Winfrey.

The 19-year-old has found comfort in being back at her mom’s Atlanta mansion despite initially feeling reluctant to return home. "I woke up and I heard her say, 'All right, come home now.’ And when I came back home, I felt humble, I felt okay,” she says.

"I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, 'Keep talking to me. I got you,'” Bobbi Kristina tells Winfrey. "She's always with me. I can always feel her. I can always feel her with me. She always asked me, 'Do you need me?' And I caught myself, out of nowhere, I didn't even know I said it, I said, 'I'll always need you.'”

"I can still laugh with her and still talk to her," she says.

Bobbi Kristina plans to follow in her mother’s footsteps and start a career in music and acting. "I have to carry on the legacy. We're going to do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing,” she adds. “It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it."

Houston was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 11. The cause of death has not been officially determined, but it is widely believed the singer died from a combination of prescription drugs and alcohol. Houston was 48.
