Luxury Hotels Targeted in Indonesian Bomb Blasts, at least Nine Killed

At least nine people have been killed and several more left injured after a pair of bombs ripped through two luxury hotels in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta on Friday.

One bomb tore the façade off the Ritz-Carlton while the second did major damage to the Marriott Hotel, both located in Jakarta’s business district and popular hotels for foreigners. According to reports the explosions occurred around 7:30 a.m. local time.

There have been no claims of responsibility for the attacks and police have surrounded the hotels for added security.
