Neil Lane has revealed all the details on the $50,000 engagement ring Ben Flajnik proposed with on the season finale of The Bachelor. The L.A. jeweler tells People magazine he made sure Ben was “truly in love again” before helping him pick out a ring for finalist Courtney Robertson.
“We had spent time together in Fiji when he was with Ashley (on the Bachelorette) and I had to acknowledge that. Ben had been sure about Ashley and so I wanted to make sure he was truly in love again,” Lane tells People magazine.
“Ben was more mature and was quite honest about the soul-searching he’d done and how he had found someone that he dearly loved in Courtney [Robertson],” he says. “After Ben finally proposed, they were inseparable and glowing, like love puppies. They seemed very much in love.”
Flajnik ended up choosing a cushion-cut diamond and platinum ring over 3 carats. The ring features 96 round-cut diamonds and a floral-inspired pattern. Lane says the pattern “represents their organic and natural love that will always bloom” and gives the ring a “vintage feel.” Diamond tulip leaves on each side of the main diamond “reflect their past, their present and their remarkable future together,” Lane adds.
