Afghan Blast Kills at least 11, Several Injured

An explosion in Afghan’s southern province of Kandahar has left at least eleven people dead and several more injured according to officials.

Reports have indicated that all those killed in the blast were civilians who had been traveling in a van at the time of the explosion. The group was said to be heading towards a shrine in the Spin Boldak district of the province when their van was hit.

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack officials have accused Taliban militants.
