Red Oxygen to Showcase SMS Innovation at RMS Conference

Red Oxygen, global leader in telecommunication technology, has announced that it will display new SMS capabilities, including RMS alert integration, at the RMS World 2012 Conference in San Antonio, Texas. SMS is a versatile communication tool used in a wide range of industries and applications to reach large groups of people instantaneously via SMS text messages.

RMS developed an easy integration suite for users to adopt SMS capabilities using Red Oxygen’s sophisticated API. Users can now generate auto and on demand SMS alerts in one easy click. “The setup between Red Oxygen and RMS Alerts was a simple process and once complete we have had no issues with our texting abilities,” says Lucas Davis, assistant manager of information technology at The University of Southern Mississippi. “We were interested in Red Oxygen for their pricing plans, but were blown away by the level of customer service and support.” Red Oxygen will exhibit at the RMS show and explain to new users how the alert system can benefit universities.

Other applications that demonstrate the benefits of SMS mobile communication will also be featured at the event, such as campus alerts, event reminders, library reminders, hospital employee contact, student and faculty text messages, coupons and more. The benefits of using SMS over traditional methods of communication include higher text open rates, better event and appointment attendance, increased coupon use, more payments made on time, and low communication cost compared to traditional communication – email, letters and voice calls.

In addition, Red Oxygen will feature various new SMS applications including dedicated numbers, calendar appointments and call forwarding. SMS messages can be sent online through Red Oxygen’s webpage, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, SharePoint and others in all major languages. Depending on the school’s needs, Red Oxygen can provide a unique SMS solution. RMS users are encouraged to stop by the Red Oxygen booth to learn how auto and on demand SMS alerts can improve university and RMS communication.
