Ashley Judd has blamed her bloated appearance on a serious illness that requires her to take steroids. The noticeable puffiness in her face initially sparked rumors of plastic surgery, but both Judd and her rep have insisted there has been no cosmetic procedures.
“Ashley has been battling an ongoing, serious sinus infection and flu. Therefore, Ashley has been on a heavy dose of medication to overcome it so she could get on a plane and travel to Toronto and New York to fulfill her commitment of completing four consecutive days of press to promote her new show, ‘Missing,’” Judd’s rep told E! News.
Judd also opened up about her illness on Twitter. "Thanks to all asking how I've been feeling, still very sick (flu + viral infection in sinuses = wicked) but staying positive & having fun," she wrote Wednesday.
In response to one follower’s comment, the 43-year-old wrote, “steriods r dramatic. My clothes don't fit right, hard on a girl's self esteem, so lots of positive self talk & love.”
