In a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest on Friday, Charlize Theron opened up about being a new mom. The actress said she is thankful for all the well wishes she has received since announcing the adoption of 4-month-old son Jackson on Wednesday.
“It’s been amazing, the amount of emails and congratulations,” Theron told Seacrest. “Everyone’s just been so lovely — it’s been really nice.”
As for how Jackson is doing, Theron said the key to keeping him content seems to be swaddling. “I didn’t think I would be a fan of the swaddling, but the swaddling’s pretty amazing,” she said. “It sort of looks a bit like a straightjacket — you’re like, ‘Is this child abuse?’ but for some reason they just love it.”
Jackson is the first child for Theron, 36. She stars next opposite Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in Snow White and the Huntsman.
