Jessica Simpson celebrated the upcoming arrival of her daughter on Saturday with a star-studded baby shower in Los Angeles. The pink and yellow themed party was planned by celebrity event coordinator Mindy Weiss. Guests included Simpson’s sister Ashlee Simpson, actress Jessica Alba, and Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo.
"It was a kid friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies. Jessica [Alba] brought her baby Haven, 7 months, and Ashlee brought Bronx, 3,” an insider tells Us Weekly magazine.
Simpson, who wore a blue snakeskin print dress, received “books, stuffed toys and clothes among other items,” a source adds.
The baby will be the first child for Simpson, 31, and her fiancé, Eric Johnson. In the new issue of Elle magazine, the singer revealed they have already decided on a “nontraditional” name for their daughter.
“It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it, they’ll know … why,” she said.
