Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino, aka The Situation, is currently getting “much needed rest” at an undisclosed treatment facility, his rep confirms. The rep insists Sorrentino is not receiving treatment for an issues relating to drug or alcohol addiction.
"He has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule," his rep says.
Sorrentino, 29, also shot down rehab rumors on Twitter. “Don't believe everything you read or hear,” he wrote.
The reality star will soon begin filming the sixth season of Jersey Shore with castmates JWoww, Snooki, Vinny, Ronnie, Pauly D, Sammi Sweetheart and Deena Cortese. MTV confirmed the upcoming season in a statement released this week.
"The house dynamic is headed into unchartered territory as their lives outside of the 'Shore' take off in exciting new directions," the network Monday. "While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same."
