Adam Levine is expanding his TV resume. The Maroon 5 frontman, who already stars as a coach on the reality TV singing competition The Voice, is reportedly set to make his acting debut on the FX show American Horror Story.
Entertainment Weekly reports Levine, 33, is in the final stages of negotiations with show bosses to play “a contemporary character and half of a couple called ‘The Lovers’” in the upcoming second season.
Few details on season two of American Horror Story have been released. Creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed the show will be filming at a new location with Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe returning to play a new set of characters. Season two is set to premiere this October.
Levine can be seen alongside Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green on the current season of The Voice.
