Poll shows people choose Yahoo if they don’t use Google

San Francisco, CA- While Google is the most popular and most often employed search engine, the Internet Marketing Company, wanted to know which search engine people would use instead of Google. After polling individuals they found that given the choice of using Yahoo, Bing or Ask, the majority of respondents said Yahoo was their first choice as an alternative to Google.

Google recently changed their privacy policies and announced that they would begin collecting data about their users search habits. While some internet users were angered by the idea of Google it is still the most utilized search engine for legal internet marketing firms and internet users alike. Currently, Google holds about 66.2 percent of the search market, which was a 0.3 percent increase despite the privacy issues.

But Yahoo is still an important search engine, although they lost some users in February, and is preferred over Bing in the survey conducted by Internet Marketing Company. Yahoo holds 14.4 percent of the search market while Bing has 15.2 percent.

Internet users can be a fickle bunch, so it is crucial that a legal internet marketing firm works on making sure their client’s pages are prominent on these three search engines. Since each search company uses different metrics to determine a website’s page rankings, a legal internet marketing firm must have extensive experience with search engine algorithms and how to use social media.
