Although they lost the immunity challenge and went to tribal council, the Manono tribe is in good spirits when they return to camp. Colton and Alicia continue to wallow in the success of Monica’s blindside while Christina sits by still in shock. Their happiness at Monica’s demise soon turns to making fun of Christina about being next on the chopping block. Colton compares her to a cockroach that keeps surviving.
The rewards challenge involves bouncing coconuts off of a rope trampoline to hit targets. The first tribe to hit all of their targets wins an ice cream buffet. Colton and Alicia are the worst performers on Manono, but they criticize Christina for apparently not running back to their mat fast enough. Salani easily takes the win and Manono heads back to camp empty handed.
Realizing she is in a bad position, Christina talks strategy with Leif and Jonas. She lets them in on Alicia’s alliance with the other girls and points out that sticking by Alicia and Colton will gain them nothing further into the game. She also notes that she does not have an alliance with anyone else and would remain loyal to the guys at the merge.
Meanwhile, Colton complains of dehydration and severe head pain. He gets up the next morning with abdominal pain so severe that the medics are called. They determine he likely has appendicitis and needs to be taken to a hospital for testing. That means Colton is out of the game. His last act as a Survivor contestant is deciding to not give his immunity idol to anyone.
With Colton gone, Alicia suspects she could be the next to go. Leif and Jonas are on board with the plan to keep Christina. Despite Tarzan’s displeasure, the new target is Alicia. Leif and Jonas don’t get the chance to go through with their plan since there is no immunity challenge. Both tribes meet at tribal council and Jeff Probst informs them they are merging.
