Rafael Nadal returns for his first training sessions since being sidelined with tendonitis in his knees. His new problems worsened because of extensive matches in April and May. He has not played since being knocked out in the fourth round of the French Open by Robin Soderling on May 31.
The75 minute session took place at a tennis club in his home town of Manacor. On his website http://www.rafaelnadal.com/ he stated “We still have to be cautious and in a week and a half we will know more. But I am pleased.”
Nadal, whose knee problems were aggravated by a grueling schedule of matches in April and May, has not played a competitive match since being knocked out in the fourth round of the French Open by Robin Soderling on May 31. We wish Nadal a full recovery.
