Erin Andrews Threatens Legal Action Over Nude Peephole Video

ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews is threatening legal action over video footage of her walking around naked in a hotel room. Last week, grainy footage of Andrews surfaced online and was posted on several popular Web sites before being removed.

The video was apparently filmed through the peephole of the hotel room door. Those responsible for the video have not been identified.

An attorney for Andrews, 31, says the sportscaster, who Playboy dubbed America’s Sexiest Sportscaster, plans to file criminal and civil charges.

“While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent. She was the victim of a crime and is taking action to protect herself and help ensure that others are not similarly violated in the future,” says her lawyer, Marshall B. Grossman, in a statement. “Although the perpetrator or perpetrators of this criminal act have not yet been identified, when they are identified she intends to bring both civil and criminal charges against them and against anyone who has published the material. We request respect of Erin's privacy at this time, while she and her representatives are working with the authorities.”

Andrews recently made headlines when she was hit in the chin by a foul ball at a New York Mets game. She only suffered a bruised chin.
