Next stop: the London Book Fair and the enhanced book

Semantix is travelling to London to present its new product, the enhanced book, at the London Book Fair

The next leg of our journey to present our products worldwide takes us to London, where the 41st edition of the London Book Fair will be taking place on April 16th, 17th and 18th. This is the perfect occasion to present our new product: the enhanced book.

It is a new book concept for e-reader and tablet users. It provides additional information about what the user is reading, so that it is easier to understand the text or merely for learning purposes. With the Semantix enhanced book, we add definitions, encyclopedia entries, pictures and videos to e-readers. When the user doesn’t understand a word, or wants to learn more about it, he or she only has to touch it to instantly see the best context-specific definition or explanation.

Year after year, the London Book Fair is the best possible place to learn about new aspects of the publishing industry. It attracts publishers, literary agents, content providers, wholesalers, service providers for publishers and book sellers and digital service providers. Exhibitors and visitors from all over the world negotiate publishing rights and the sale and distribution of content through the press, radio, television, feature films and digital channels.

This edition of the Fair is paying special attention to new book formats. It will have a Digital Area focusing on new platforms, reading applications, tablets, e-readers and all kinds of digital reading solutions.

During this 3-day event, our stand will be providing information and presenting our enhanced book and the new reading concept. The Fair, with close to 1500 exhibitors, is supplemented with more than 400 seminars and talks.
