Narconon Freedom Center, an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Albion, Michigan has recently pitched in to help the CityLinC Organization in Battle Creek to collect school items for children in the community through the CityLinC STUFF-A-BUS Campaign.
City LinC is a faith-based, non-profit organization located in Battle Creek, Michigan that offers several needed services for children and families in Calhoun County. The organization welcomes groups and individuals from all backgrounds and their mission is to help underprivileged children and their families in times of transition and/or crisis.
The 2009 STUFF-A-BUS Campaign is asking for community help to get supplies for these children and also needs volunteers to help to pack the items into backpacks. The campaign works with more than 50 local organizations and has hundreds of individuals and donors.
Megan Brennan, Community Relations Director at Narconon Freedom Center understands the importance of this campaign. “These children need supplies for school and Narconon Freedom Center wants to help. This is what we do. We want to make our community better not just through our drug treatment program but through our community outreach as well.”
The STUFF-A-BUS Campaign will end with a Back To School Bash held on August 22nd at Bailey Park in Battle Creek. The bash will have free food, games and music for anyone in the community to attend.
