National chain KFC announced that it will switch all of its U.S. restaurants to trans-fats-free cooking oil by April 2007, joining hamburger giant Wendy’s in removing trans fats from its products. And researchers in the UK are calling for a reevaluation of annual flu shots there, citing flawed data in the effectiveness of these vaccines.
