Bobby Brown, the ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston, was arrested Monday afternoon for drunk driving. California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Harris says the 43-year-old was originally pulled over in the San Fernando Valley for talking on his cell phone. He was then given a field sobriety test which he failed. Brown was booked at the Van Nuys jail for suspicion of DUI and released about two hours later. He has not commented on his arrested.
Brown’s arrest comes four days after the Los Angeles coroner’s office announced that Houston died of drowning with cocaine and heart disease as contributing factors. "She could've passed out first due to the intoxication from the cocaine, or she could've had a heart attack and then drowned," Coroner assistant chief Ed Winter told People magazine. "It's probably one of those two scenarios."
Houston was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 11. In addition to Brown, she is also survived by their 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.
