Bobby Brown is not going down without a fight. Days after being arrested for drunk driving, the 43-year-old has spoken out about the charge through his attorney, Tiffany Feder.
"Everyone is innocent until proven guilty and Mr. Brown was not driving erratically. He was speaking on his cell phone. Mr. Brown has not been convicted of anything associated with this incident," Feder told E! News. "Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously and an investigation is under way. The legal process shall run its course.”
Brown, ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston, was arrested Monday afternoon in California’s San Fernando Valley. He was originally pulled over for talking on his cell phone. Officers gave him a field sobriety test which he failed. Brown was booked at the Van Nuys jail for suspicion of DUI and released about two hours later.
His arrest came just four days after the Los Angeles coroner’s office announced that Houston died of drowning with cocaine and heart disease as contributing factors. "She could've passed out first due to the intoxication from the cocaine, or she could've had a heart attack and then drowned," Coroner assistant chief Ed Winter told People magazine. "It's probably one of those two scenarios."
