Dancing with the Stars season 14 lost its first contestant Tuesday night. The first two weeks of scores combined with viewer’s votes put tennis champ Martina Navratilova, 55, and singer Gavin DeGraw, 35, in the bottom two. DeGraw survived the elimination and Navratilova was sent packing.
"It was an amazing experience. I just wish it could have lasted longer. I'd give anything I had, but I blew it yesterday and it cost me, unfortunately. I wish everybody great luck,” Navratilova said.
After the show Navratilova’s partner Tony Dovolani told People magazine he is “pretty destroyed” by their elimination. "Martina's probably one of the most wonderful people I've ever had the chance to work with. Not only is she a female icon, but she has probably the kindest heart I've ever met. So, I'm actually pretty destroyed right now,” he admitted.
In addition to McGraw, the stars remains in the competition are: Sherri Shepherd, Melissa Gilbert, Jack Wagner, Jaleel White, Donald Driver, Maria Menounos, William Levy, Roshon Fegan, Gladys Knight and Katherine Jenkins.
