Washington Addiction Treatment: The drug problem in the state of Washington

The drug problem in the state of Washington

With its seaports, interstate highway corridors, and bordering Canada to the north, the state of Washington is in a very unique geographic location where the substance distribution and trafficking is concerned.  It not only serves as a distribution center, it is a transhipment state for illegal substances running between Canada and points to the south, including California and Mexico.

Although the primary substances that are being trafficked across the Canadian border are marijuana and MDMA’s (Ecstasy or club drugs), there are other substances that are considered drug threats by the DEA including:

  • cocaine in crack or powder form
  • heroin
  • methamphetamines

Additionally, there has been a noticeable increase in the distribution and trafficking of prescription medications throughout Washington.  Consequently, substance abuse and addiction cases are growing in number and the need for better Washington addiction treatment centers has become more evident.

There are dozens of the traditional treatment and recovery centers in the state already.  Unfortunately, the majority of these are witnessing failing success rates at best with statistics showing that roughly 4 out of every 5 Washington addiction treatment center clients, or 80%, eventually relapsing into the addictions they were suffering from prior to entering one of those programs.  The main reason for this is that they are still trying to treat their clients and help them recover using the conventional “one-size-fits-all” methods and therapies.

About the Narconon Freedom Center

Our facility has been successfully treating substance addiction cases for years now and we have a 70% success rate, which is the highest of any substance addiction treatment and recovery program in the US.  So what is it that separates the Narconon Freedom Center from the traditional facilities out there? In a single word, it is educating the client so they learn the following:

  • purging their bodies of the substances they were addicted to as well as the residues of those substances
  • how to avoid or walk away from potentially harmful situations
  • confronting and controlling harmful situations if you can’t avoid them
  • more effective communication capabilities
  • overcoming the tendency to live in the past
  • improving both decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • using the recovery tools we provide in order to gain further knowledge and retain it
  • restoring ethics, integrity, morals, and responsibility levels

We welcome Washington addiction treatment center clients that have not experienced a successful recovery after being treated for their addictions.
