Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth are moving forward with their separation. More than two weeks after announcing their split, Facinelli has filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.” He listed the date of separation as January 1 and requested to share joint custody of his three daughters with Garth.
Facinelli, 38, and Garth, 39, first announced their split in a statement on March 13. "While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time,” the pair said.
Garth and Facinelli met in 1996 and tied the knot in 2001. Facinelli can be seen next opposite Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2. He is also a regular on the Showtime series Nurse Jackie. Garth, who is best known for playing Kelly on Beverly Hills, will star next with daughters Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5, on her CMT reality show, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country. The show is set to premiere April 20.
