Octomom Nadya Suleman will do anything to provide for her 14 children – including posing semi-nude. The controversial single mom did just that for Britain’s Closer magazine, and now tells Anderson Cooper she is not ashamed of earning money that way.
"I'm being honest I did it for money. I got $8,000. I have to do what I have to do to take care of my family, and I'm not ashamed. I'm not ashamed at all ... I've never sacrificed my morals and values,” Suleman tells Cooper on today’s episode of Anderson.
As for anyone who criticizes her work choices, Suleman says she pays no attention to their opinions. “Regardless, you have to learn to let go of everyone's perspective of you because you cannot please the world. You have to please God -- he's the only one I have to answer to at the end of the day -- myself and my children,” she says.
The 36-year-old also notes that she is not completely nude in any of the pictures. "I am covered. I had to think about that. I reflected on that quite a bit before choosing to do it. I discussed it with my children openly."
Suleman became a media sensation in January 2009 after giving birth to octuplets. She already had six children. All 14 of her children were conceived through in vitro fertilization using sperm from a donor she has described as a friend.
