Basketball fans in Lexington go crazy, setting fires and destroying property

Lexington, KY- Saturday, after Kentucky State beat a rival Louisville team in a New Orleans showdown, fans of the team took to the streets and started a small riot.

Fans of the Kentucky team took to the streets after the victory in what seemed like at first a peaceful celebration. But it didn’t take long for things to get out of control.

Shortly after fans filled the streets, they began to set couches on fire. One car was overturned and was also set on fire. If police can identify the culprit, the car owner may want to retain an accident attorney to recover their losses.

Police used a small amount of pepper spray to disperse crowds. They made 27 arrests for minor infractions such as disorderly conduct and alcohol related offenses. Some fans hurled beer bottles at police as they tried to break up the crowd.

No major injuries were reported. Police are prepared for any incidents that may arise after tonight’s game.

The fans are lucky that nothing worse happened. In the midst of such chaos, there could have been some serious injuries and the victims would be seeking compensation with the help of an accident lawyer. Any person who is harmed by another’s careless actions has the option of trying to recover any of the costs they incur by finding an accomplished accident attorney to build a strong case.
