New York holds its first divorce expo

New York, NY- A mother and daughter duo brought to New York the first “Divorce Expo” over the past weekend to empower individuals pre and post-divorce.

Hundreds of New Yorkers descended on the “Smart over Smart: A Modern Divorce Expo” at the Chelsea expo center over the weekend to attended seminars and browse hundreds of booths.

The two day event had numerous of exhibitors ranging from divorce attorneys, divorce mediators, financial planners to make-over specialists. Many of the people attending were looking for much needed advice on how to proceed with their divorces and steps they can take to improve their lives afterward.

A number of booths catered to helping the newly single re-enter the dating scene, with advice on how to do navigate online dating sites, do background checks on new partners along with beauty advice.

The expos organizers, Francine Bras and Nicole Feuer said they were inspired to do they event after they attended a similar expo in Paris, France. Feuer said the expo was a way to empower people facing divorce and allow them to get support during a difficult time.

Divorce lawyers are valuable assets in dissolution, but they cannot provide the emotional support that a person needs during this troubled time.

When facing an eventual divorce both parties need to hire accomplished divorce attorneys to help them with crucial issues like division of marital assets and child custody agreements.
