Four people were killed Thursday in a helicopter crash in
Maryland. The Robinson 44 helicopter crashed on Interstate 70 around 10:30 p.m.
The helicopter did not strike any cars.
“When emergency personnel arrived, they found a small
commercial aircraft, a Robinson 44 helicopter, with four passengers. I can
confirm four fatalities on site as a result of the crash,” says Kevin Lewis,
the director of emergency services in Washington County.
The cause of the accident is being investigated. Officials
shut down the Interstate until 5 a.m. Friday morning.
