Steve Spurrier Said to be Coach who Snubbed Tim Tebow on Preseason All-SEC Team

The debate over who left Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow off the preseason All-SEC team appears to be over as South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier he opted for Mississippi QB Jevan Snead over the Heisman Trophy winner.

Spurrier reportedly told members of the South Carolina football program that he voted for Snead as the first-team quarterback but has since changed his mind and would like his ballot changed to include Tebow as the first-team QB.

There have been few bigger stories in the SEC since it was revealed that Tebow was not a unanimous selection on the preseason first-team All-SEC. As the story continued to built several head coaches came out publicly to verify their vote for Tebow, making it just a matter of time before Spurrier was pegged.
