Authorities in Oakland, California say more than one person is dead after a shooting at Oikos University. Few details have been released on the situation at the private Christian college, but police have confirmed a suspect is in custody. It is unclear if the suspect is a student at the school.
"No imminent public safety threat appears to exist in immediate area," Oakland police said.
The exact number of dead is unclear at this time. Ambulances and SWAT teams are at the scene and the school is being evacuated. At least four people are said to be wounded.
