Bellevue University Offers Free Webinar Series called “Fast Track for Success”

Bellevue University will provide webinar listeners with a series of online presentations that will help put them ahead of their competition.

Bellevue is excited to announce a series of upcoming free online events that are designed to help give students and professionals a boost, called "Fast Track for Success.” The 30 minute workshops are designed to give expert information about real-world skills that will help professionals excel at their workplace 

There are three more series students and professionals can sign up for on Bellevue’s website, www.bellevue.edu/professionalgrowth/

 A webinar entitled, “Managing Workload” on April 3, 2012, will teach listeners about organizational tools they can use to maximize their effectiveness. Listeners will also learn about “time wasters,” and how to handle the pressures of doing multiple projects simultaneously. 

On April 17, 2012, Bellevue’s workshop called, “Presentation Skills,” will focus on tips for improving PowerPoint presentations, imagery that will drive a company’s message and will also use “The Art of Pecha Kucha” as a reference point. 

“Writing Effective Reports,” on May 1, 2012, will teach listeners about how to organize technical reports for effective communication, understanding potential audiences and writing to express technical validity and objectivity. 

Laura L. De Boer and Joe J. Hare will be the hosts of the series. De Boer, a Training and Organizational Specialist leads the Customer Care Development Program at Bellevue and has presented at many conferences about leadership, time management and positive attitudes motivating success. Hare is an Associate Director at Bellevue’s Human Capital Lab and has gained management expertise from the U.S. Air force and specializes in workforce solutions. 

Recording of three previous recordings, “Making Quality Decisions in the Workplace,” “Increasing Your Circle of Influence,” and “Resolving Conflict,” are also available online. “Making Quality Decisions in the Workplace” taught listeners about how to develop categories for difficult decisions, how to define what a quality decision is and ways to prioritize decisions.  “Increasing Your Circle of Influence” discusses Steven Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” in addition to identifying concerns that professionals can influence compared to concerns they cannot control. “Resolving Conflict,” discusses the different types of natural conflict resolutions, an understanding about professional conflicts and strategies for confronting others. 

All of Bellevue’s webinars are designed to improve students’ and professionals’ approach to increasing productivity and skills that will make them better in whatever field they work in.
