Passenger Plane Bursts into Flames after Landing at Airport in Iran, at least 17 Killed
A passenger plane landing at an airport in the northern Iranian city of Mashhad burst into flames upon touching down and skidded off the runway killing at least 17 people and leaving another 19 injured.
According to officials the Aria Airlines plane was carrying 153 people from the capital city of Tehran to Mashhad.
Rescue crews managed to evacuate the passengers shortly after the crash and have extinguished the flames. The crash comes just ten days after another Iranian plane crash that left 168 people dead.
