Abbie Cornish denies any involvement in the Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe split

Abbie Cornish, the Australian actress that has found her name in the middle of the Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe separation, has vehemently denied reports that she is to blame for the Hollywood couple’s split.

Reports have circulated that Phillippe and Cornish have been involved in a relationship for some time. The two are staring in the upcoming movie Stop Loss. According to a witness at an Austin, Texas restaurant, the two were spotted kissing. 

A representative for Abbie Cornish has said “it’s not true, they are co-stars and that is it.”

Rumors have also circulated that Witherspoon, the star of Legally Blonde and Walk the Line, discovered messages sent by Phillippe to Cornish concerning their relationship.

Reese Witherspoon, 30, announced her split from her husband of seven years earlier this week. Witherspoon and Phillippe, 32, have two children together and starred in the movie Cruel Intentions.

Witherspoon won an Oscar for her portrayal of June Carter in the critically acclaimed Walk the Line. Phillipe has had his own success on the big screen, with roles in Crash, Gosford Park, and the Clint Eastwood film Flags of Our Fathers.
