Author E Lynn Harris Dies at 54

Bestselling author E. Lynn Harris has died. Harris died Friday, according to his personal assistant. The assistant refused give details on Harris’ death but did say the 54-year-old’s health has declined.

Harris was in the middle of promotional tour for his 11th novel, Basketball Jones. He is known for writing about African-American gay culture. Harris has many successful novels including Invisible Life, Just As I Am, Too Good To Be True, Abide With Me, and his 2004 memoir What Becomes of the Brokenhearted.

No other details on Harris’ death were available.
