Jaleel White doesn’t deny he recently had an issue with Dancing with the Stars pro partner Kym Johnson, but the Family Matters star insists the severity of the situation was “completely exaggerated” by the media. White allegedly screamed at Johnson during rehearsals Friday after he stepped on her foot. Sources say the 35-year-old was angry because Johnson said her foot hurt.
White’s alleged tirade was interrupted when pro dancer Mark Ballas and contestant Donald Driver stepped in to defend Johnson. "Jaleel definitely was out of line. It basically didn't have anything to do with Kym or her foot – he was just stressed out and ready to snap,” an insider tells People magazine.
"Both Mark and Donald wound up having words with him mostly trying to get him to realize that he needed to just get a grip already,” the source adds.
"We go to work every day, and there is an alley full of tabloid reporters," White said Monday. "It's not fair to us and that's life, and I hope people can see through it. There's no drama in my life."
Johnson also brushed off the drama Monday night. "This has been a stressful week for us, and people have stressful weeks. [Today] was horrible. I thought we got through it really well, and our dance tonight will show everyone that we really have a great connection. This is really the first week we only had four days to learn [the rumba],” she said.
