French President Nicolas Sarkozy Taken to Hospital after Falling Ill During Jog

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been taken to a military hospital after becoming ill while jogging near his weekend retreat in Versailles on Sunday.

Sarkozy is expected to remain in the hospital until Monday but is said to be “doing well” according to his chief of staff. It was reported by the AFP that Sarkozy suffered a nerve attack that may have caused him to briefly lose consciousness and cause a change in heart rate.

Sarkozy, 54, is said to be talking normally with medics and appears to be in good health.
