Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Targets of al-Qaeda

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have received death threats from al-Qaeda members according to reports. The couple is currently in India filming “A Mighty Heart”, a movie based on the life of Daniel Pearl, the American journalist murdered in Karachi, Pakistan by al Qaeda militants in 2002.

Both Jolie and Pitt have been alerted that they may be targeted due to nature of the film. Security experts were flown in from England to assess what measures need to be taken to protect the pair while the filming continues. They have been assigned nearly a dozen security personnel apiece.

The movie “A Mighty Heart” is based on the memoir of the same name, written by Daniel’s wife Mariane in 2003. Mariane was pregnant with the couple’s first child when Daniel was murdered, he would have been 43-years-old this past October 10th.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have three children, five-year old son Maddox and 22-month-old daughter Zahara were adopted (Cambodia and Ethiopia) and Angelina gave birth to daughter Shiloh in May.
