Actress Amanda Bynes arrested for DUI after hitting police car

Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes was arrested for DUI Friday morning after she ran into a police car, according to a report from TMZ.

Police told TMZ that Bynes was attempting to pass a police car around 3 a.m. local time when she side swiped the rear of the patrol car with her black BMW. The officer pulled Bynes over and found she was unfit to drive.

She was placed under arrest for suspicion of intoxicated driving and booked into a West Hollywood police station.

Bynes has been in trouble with police frequently over the past few weeks. In one incident she fled from an officer who was giving her a ticket for talking on her cell phone. She later went by the police station to sign the citation.

On St. Patrick’s Day, TMZ cameras caught the 23 year-old actress leaving a club and appeared to be very intoxicated. The cameraman warned the valet not to let her drive, but she got behind the wheel anyway.
